Update? What update?

Don't ask me for an update. It's been a mighty busy week and here I am, at 12:30 AM (yeah, that's after midnight) with a little baby who will NOT stop crying and will NOT go to sleep.

I've nursed until I'm a raisin. (sorry to be so crude, but there it is)

She is getting her molars, and no amount of Tylenol or Motrin is going to touch it.

She has been flipping around in my arms, arching and howling, for the past four hours.

I'm done.

She's in her crib now, howling away about how cruel I am.

Lord God, please give her the comfort that I just can't give her, and PUT THAT KID TO SLEEP! (I am not a patient person, no matter what others accuse me of).

I was in that place a few nights ago only I can't let him cry because he shares a room and there is nowhere I can put him that won't disturb the rest of the family. The howling and arching lasted until almost 3 am. in my case. Hope yours went to sleep soon after you posted.

She finally conked out around 1 AM... and woke up again around 6:30 AM, ready to start the process all over again.

The overall process is so, so worth it, but it's individual days like these that are so draining.

I am thankful that these moments, while frustrating, are BRIEF in the grand scheme of things!
