Please be patient with me!

My days -- like yours -- are filled to the brim. Grace is a sweet baby, but has, shall we say, "napping issues." As in, she doesn't do it well.

At all.

Unless I hold her.
Or one of the other kids graciously volunteers (which they do!) to hold her.

She doesn't go to sleep in the evenings until around 10:30 or so.

That means my free time -- to Christmas shop, blog, plan homeschooling for the week, etc. -- doesn't start until then.

I am now sitting in front of this computer screen at 1:30 AM.

Needless to say, certain things will have to fall by the wayside for now, and blogging will be light until I can finish up my Christmas shopping. (thank GOD for on-line shopping! Otherwise, my family would receive whatever I could buy at the grocery store... sad. So sad.)

Have you tried a mei tai? I made one for use with my second child and oh my word the difference! :) It doesn't hurt my back and the baby can sleep away happily on your chest or back while you do dishes or laundry or *ahem* blogging. ;) You can see mine at this link: http://laundryandlullabies.blogspot.com/2007/10/mei-tai-baby-carrier.html

Hm... I don't know ANY babies like that! :)

Madeleine wasn't a good napper until about a month ago. Now she takes two good naps and goes to bed at 7:30!

Bless you! We've had wakeful babies and it does make for a challenge! Little Gracie just doesn't want to miss anything! Before you know it, she'll be climbing the Christmas tree, then another blink and she'll be you're chief-tree-decorating-genius! &:o) These wakeful ones are usu the movers, shakers and world changers.

Oh no! Napping issues! Not good. I hope things settle down soon!

I've been wearing her, carrying her, and doing a lot of sitting on the couch nursing her. Lots of bonding time, to be sure, but not a lot of time to do much of anything else!

I have to keep repeating: this phase is short... this phase is short...

Oh, I guess I forgot to mention that the me tai can be used as a front carrier, too! :)
