2009 Wrap Up

Is it New Year's Eve Already? Wow... time is just flying by! I hope you are all continuing to have a blessed Christmas!

Before this year officially ends, I want to issue a belated congratulations to my sister, who graduated this December. She got her BS degree several years ago, but wanted to go back to get into the veterinary field. She is now a licensed vet tech.

Congratulations!!!!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

So far this Christmas season has been a very busy one. Thanks to my hard working dh and his parents, so many of our big items on the household "to do list" have finally been done. The desks in the new computer room/homeschooling room have been constructed; Grace and Marie are now in a REAL bedroom with pale pink walls (instead of a shell of our old computer room with gaping holes in the walls where dh had to remove cabinets); the backyard leaves have finally been raked up; and, (be still my heart) there is now TRIM all around the walls in my kitchen! Hallelujah!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally -- even though this is probably pretty premature, I guess I can let you all know that we're expecting another little one... due at the end of July. I wish I could say I'm jumping up and down with excitement, but after losing two little ones this year already, I'm just a bit emotionally distant. I've already had an ultrasound and seen this baby's heartbeat (praise God), but two miscarriages back to back has left me a little gun shy.

Plus, with all the worries and anxieties that tend to fill my mind during this time -- and one doesn't have to travel far in the blogging world without seeing ample reasons for it -- I confess that Luke 21:23 has come to mind more than once. I know that's terrible, and I pray that I can truly give this baby the welcome that he deserves. May God have mercy on this little one, on our family, and on our nation. May He bless us all with His kindness and mercy!

I don't say these things to sound depressing, but to let you know where my head is right now. If you could say a prayer for me every now and then, I would greatly appreciate it!

Have a wonderful, blessed New Year!
May God bless us all in 2010!

You have my prayers!

"If we only knew it, we are fearing the wrong things. We used to fear God; now we fear our fellow man. The negative side of fear is dread, but the positive side is longing. Once an individual turns to God, his fear turns to yearning, and he discovers peace." - Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.

"Look ahead towards Heaven with your cares; and don't look behind you."
- Adrienne-the-lowly.
