Not wanting to be "one of those moms"... you know, the kind that never get out and try new things... I set a goal for myself -- to learn how to ride a waveboard... or at least get on the dang thing... by the end of the day.
Not pretty, but mission accomplished.
A few disclaimers:
1. These are not my children.
2. I apologize that you get to see my backside.
3. I got much better by the end of the day.

Hey, I'm jealous! I've tried the darn thing and just can't seem to do it. Of course, the fear of broken bones and needing my children to do the housework for an indefinite period of time was also a bit of a deterrent, truth be told. Maybe fifteen or twenty years ago I could have looked cool and zipped around on the thing, but oh well.
I'll comfort myself with the knowledge that I can still bathe myself and do my own dishes. :-)
How fun!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Malia, the goal is to have the neighborhood kids hold your hands until you actually get on, and then give you a push. After you do that for about an hour, you'll be ready for the next step... getting on it by yourself! (it's actually pretty easy... once you've had the practice mentioned... and a lot of fun!)
Jessica, Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!
Hey you did great!! That looks like a lot of fun too.
Hope you guys had a Merry Christmas!
Since no one else has said it yet, You looked great! (but everybody is thinking that!) We don't even own a wave board. (Does it count that we have about 10 bikes in various sizes AND a collection of in-line skates? hee hee).
Merry Christmas from the North!
