This recipe's a winner!

Cooking During Stolen Moments has a wonderful recipe for homemade Portillo's chopped salad. I was intrigued enough by the picture to whip up a batch just before supper was ready this evening -- I didn't have bacon or gorgonzola cheese, so I had to substitute ham and reggiano cheese... OK, and I had to use chopped up rotini for the pasta.

Anyway, it was sooooooooooooo good! I do have many children who are normally salad eaters, but this salad was enjoyed by (I think) all the kids. I think the chopped part had everything to do with it.

Definitely a keeper!
