Good news on the pregnancy front!

The doctors were concerned that perhaps my placenta was lower than it should be, and if it were laying on scar tissue, a hysterectomy would be the likely outcome.

Yesterday's ultrasound showed that the placenta is much higher than was previously thought, so it looks like things will go smoother than expected. Praise God for that!

The baby looks healthy and strong, and right now is weighing in at 3 lbs 6 oz. Hard to believe, but he's already bigger than Sean was at birth! (for those just visiting for the first time, Sean -- my oldest -- was very premature. As you can see from the picture above, he's a completely normal almost-teenager now!)

So as of now, everything is looking good! (Can you tell I have just the teensiest pessimist streak in me? Those who know me IRL are laughing and saying "TEENSIEST?? You've got to be kidding me!" I'm not proud of it and I AM trying to be better about it, but... well... it's a struggle....)
