Will it snow?

That's the question on everyone's mind in upstate South Carolina!

They are predicting 3-5 inches of snow, which around here would be absoluting amazing (provided the power stays on, of course. Otherwise, we're in big trouble and we'll be wanderers in search of friends who have fireplaces!). The last time snow was predicted, however, we had a rather dismal showing, as you may remember.

Still, all the usual preparations are being made. The grocery stores are working hard to keep milk and bread on the shelves, and the parking lots have been pretty darn full all day long. I've done my grocery shopping a day early, so all I have to concern myself with tomorrow is trying to find gloves (forget matching!) and hats for everyone!

I'm REALLY hoping we can have a snowed-in weekend (WITH power!) so that I can spend the time cooking, baking, and enjoying the time with my family.... and maybe, just maybe, actually getting around to making that crockpot yogurt!

Speaking of which, did anyone try that recipe?

Were you coming down this weekend? Oh, I'm sorry you have to postpone your trip!

DH left early yesterday morning for the west coast, so he made it out but also missed out on the snow!

Hope you have power, Ouiz! The news here in NC is all about "stay off the roads"... but Krispy Kreme is open, LOL! I just stuffed myself with french toast (all that talk of milk, bread and eggs)!

So Cydney, did you get tons of snow?

Not tons... probably 4-6", total. Still lots of it for here and considering it is still around! The temperatures have remained low, so now it is icy and gross. Schools closed again tomorrow, so 3 days in a row!

I don't think my kids have EVER seen 4-6" of snow! They would be in heaven if we ever got that much!

I don't think I'll tell them that the NC kids have gotten 3 snow days in a row...

LOL, I don't blame you for keeping that to yourself. A third day out of school is really silly, at this point, anyway. It was good sledding snow, and as rare as that is here, I sympathize with your kids' disappointment! I was amazed by the 'winter wonderland' every time I looked out the window, I'm so not used to seeing it!
