What I'm thankful for

This Saturday was the PERFECT sort of day for me -- cold, drizzly, filled with shopping, and ending with a hot meal in my snuggly home. Here are some of the things I was thankful for:

My fun red shoes that my Mom got me last year. They keep my feet toasty warm, which is the key to staying happy on a rainy day. As long as my feet are warm and dry, I'm pretty cheerful! (plus, notice the pants? These are pre-pregnancy jeans! whoo hoo!)

My "storm candle," which I lit when I got home. It made my warm kitchen feel even more inviting!

(and, as a HUGE bonus, if you can see the background, you'll see that my backyard has been raked! My husband and kids worked hard all morning long, and got the ENTIRE backyard raked in under 3 hours! What a blessing, since it started raining in the afternoon and, as we all know, a yard full of wet leaves is NOT fun.)

My husband, who watched ALL the kids (including Grace) so I could get some much needed shopping done QUICKLY. (here they are playing card games with Daddy. They had a blast!)

Sweet little Grace, who decided to like her swing long enough for me to cook supper. (no, we didn't dress her funny... she just decided that she did NOT want her legs covered in any way, so there she is, with her cute little legs dangling...)

And breakfast casserole and grits for supper! What a wonderful way to end a fantastic day!
