Everything's funny at 7:40 in the morning

Normally, we try for a somewhat reverent tone for early Sunday morning, so that we can enter Mass better prepared.

Not today.

On the way to Mass, we were listening to the Christian radio station, and Michael W. Smith's "Crown Him with Many Crowns" came on.

Our radio, however, which flashes the name of the song and the artist, had it listed as "Crown Him with Many CROWS," which, as you can imagine, changes the mental picture considerably. As my husband and I both noticed this and started to chuckle, the line "The Lamb upon His throne" was sung, which caused Sean to ask,

"Did he just sing 'His flammable throne?"

Crowned with crows and sitting on a flammable throne. Oh dear.

As my husband pulled into the parking lot, he turned to me and said, "Wow. It must be a rough day to be Jesus."

And on that note, we all laughed our way into Mass this morning.
