I got to meet Marla Cilley (AKA the FlyLady, when I was pregnant with Thomas)
Thanks to the encouragement of my dear friend, I am officially on the FlyLady bandwagon again. I'm not going to say that my house is a disaster -- because it's not -- but I was no longer following any sort of system for keeping my house clean... and therefore was bouncing around from task to task, never feeling like I had done enough.
Obviously, the email reminders are more helpful than I thought!
What I have liked about the system in the past is that it did enable me to keep everything else "under control" while I deep cleaned certain areas of the house, doing tasks that I otherwise would have gotten to only when I noticed how dirty they were.
I like the reminders to grab a bag and get rid of clutter... or take a few moments to wipe down the walls in your dining area... or quickly put away everything that is on the counter. None of the tasks -- even the more substantial ones -- really take more than 15 minutes... and certainly I can do something for 15 minutes!
Hopefully I will have good things to report as I get my housework more organized again. Stay tuned....

I did Flylady once... back in about 2000. I think I did it for 1 or 2 days. :)
She is a really nice lady, too. Very sweet to talk to, very passionate about helping other people... I was impressed when I met her.
I hate to confine myself to a "system," but I just need the reminders, I guess, to keep me going on the right track.
I've never tried it, but I could use a little order in my work these days. I'll go have a look. Thank you!
We're in the process of moving furniture and reorganizing - I feel as if it's a long road but I'm excited to at least be on it!
